Mike Ware (NN3I) will present Portable Ops: Tips, Tricks, and Cheap Thrills. This will be an interactive, Show & Tell talk. The goal is to let you see how easy and how much fun it is to operate portable. Practical advice on batteries, antennas, radios, SWR meters, and more will be given. If you do portable ops and have some great tips that make portable ops more enjoyable, come ready to share them. Mike will show us some of the most useful gear he has for portable ops. Feel free to bring any great gear you have that makes portable ops easier and more fun. We all will learn more that way.

CARA's monthly membership meetings are open to all! The in-person meeting is in the Applied Physics Lab Building 1 Cafeteria, 11100 Johns Hopkins Rd, Laurel, MD 20723. From Rt. 29 go west on Johns Hopkins Road. At the second light turn right onto APL drive, proceed to the end and park on the left. From the Bldg 1 lobby, turn right at the guard desk to enter the cafeteria and proceed to the far end.
