As a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, CARA is managed by volunteer Board of Directors. The President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary are all Board members and are selected annually by the Board at the December board meeting. The President and Vice President may serve three consecutive one-year terms. The Treasurer and Secretary have no term limits. There are five additional members that make up the nine-member board.
The Board is selected through elections held each November. All Full Members who are current in their dues are eligible to vote. Once elected, Board members serve two-year terms, and are eligible for re-election indefinitely.
Club members are welcome to attend Board meetings, which are held on the third Thursday of every month at 7:30 pm. If you are interested in attending the Board meetings, please email email@example.com to request the zoom meeting link.
