CARA operates four public-use repeaters, two on the 70cm amateur band and two on the 2m amateur band. They provide superb coverage through much of Central Maryland.

All repeaters transmit a 156.7Hz CTCSS tone when in analog mode, enabling users to implement tone squelch. Using tone squelch is suggested for those with analog-only radios who do not wish to hear the digital roar while monitoring the repeaters.
